We collect unused medical supplies for redistribution to those in need.

I Want to Help!

Welcome to NPEMT

Who we are

Our Community

Our Community

We are a group of local people who were individually working on the same cause: redistributing medical supplies from those who have extra to those who need, all while reducing the impact on our landfills.

Spanning three counties, we collaborate to coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups to reduce our carbon footprint.

How we help

Recovering from an illness or the loss of a loved one is hard enough. We strive to ease your burden by decluttering your home of unused supplies and ensuring these valuable resources are recirculated into the community.

What is Health Equity?

As defined by the World Health Organization, "Equity is the absence of unfair, avoidable or remediable differences among groups of people, whether those groups are defined socially, economically, demographically, or geographically or by other dimensions of inequality (e.g. sex, gender, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation). Health is a fundamental human right. Health equity is achieved when everyone can attain their full potential for health and well-being." (WHO.int, 2025)

Privacy Policy

We feel that everyone's privacy is of utmost importance. When accepting donations, we ask for consent to share the town in which they came from. We feel this adds a humanistic component to the process, that another person took the initiative to share their items. No other identifying information is shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at npemthelps@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Many people receive healthcare services at home (wound care, IV therapy, hospice). Once care is completed, there is often a surplus of supplies left. Insurance companies cannot accept them back and many people are unsure what to do with them. We pick them up and redistribute them.

We currently collect unused, unexpired medical items such as bandages, gauze, incontinence supplies and equipment such as commodes, wheelchairs, rollators and walkers. We cannot accept expired or opened items nor any medications. We also ask that you remove any labels that contain names or addresses to protect your privacy.

While our focus is medical supplies, we also accept other items from homes being cleaned out such as canned goods and nonperishable foods, linens, towels and blankets. We equally disperse these items to other vetted organizations like food pantries and animal rescues.

Using social media and word of mouth, we are always on the lookout for people in need of the products we have. We work in conjunction with other medical closets to try to reach as many people as possible across Queens, Nassau and Suffolk.

We do not charge any fees, ever. No donated equipment is ever sold for profit. We do have a Go Fund Me page should someone choose to donate to our operating costs (storage room rental and fuel).

Safety and comfortability is important for everyone involved. We can meet at a public place or welcome you to our storage facility should you wish to pick up or donate supplies. We are able to deliver supplies should the need arise (common with large items).
